Marvin Vettori recently captured some gorgeous scenery with his loved ones while enjoying nature in his home country.
The former UFC middleweight title challenger recently visited Croz del'Altissimo in Italy and got some lovely photos along the mountain tops with friends as well as family. This mountain range is located in Val delle Seghe within the region of Trentino-Alto Adige and has been explored by pioneers of mountaineering since the second half of the nineteenth century.
'The Italian Dream' referenced his nickname in the caption for the scenic IG photo dump on Instagram:
"Dove le aquile osano volare #theitaliandream"

Marvin Vettori's professional MMA career so far
Marvin Vettori initially cut his teeth on the UK regional MMA scene but went on a fight under an Italian-based promotion that got the attention of the big leagues. After rebounding from the first loss of his mixed martial arts career, Vettori went on a five-fight winning streak, specifically under the promotional banner of a big regional show in Italy called Venator FC.
Vettori climbed a proverbial mountain at this point and was signed to the industry leader when he joined up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He made his debut at one of the biggest events in company history when he competed at UFC 202. Vettori bested Alberto Uda with a first-round guillotine choke on the undercard of Nate Diaz vs Conor McGregor II.
The Italian combatant continued his trend of fighting on big cards when he had his next fight on the undercard of Amanda Nunes vs. Ronda Rousey in late 2016. Vettori would lose by unanimous decision to Antonio Carlos Jr. at UFC 207.
He would go 1-1-1 thereafter when he lost his first fight to Israel Adesanya at the tail end of that three-fight stretch. Vettori would then put together a five-fight win streak before getting a crack at the promotion's 185-pound crown.
He then earned a rematch with Adesanya, but this time, the middleweight title was on the line. Vettori would again lose on points to 'The Last Stylebender' in their UFC 263 pay-per-view main event.
He has since alternated between wins and losses, besting Paulo Costa and Roman Dolidze but falling short on the judges' scorecards to Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier. 'The Italian Dream' currently holds the No. 6 spot in the middleweight rankings.
