Khabib Nurmagomedov went on a team trip to Malaysia and pulled back the curtain on it for those who follow him on Instagram. The former UFC lightweight champion simply captioned the post with the name of the country and showcased several photos during his trip as well as a video clip towards the end.

Several in the comments went with the obligatory 'send location' quote that came from Nurmagomedov's highly personal feud with Conor McGregor. But also several notable figures in the sport expressed their awe and excitement.

Some of those names include UFC commentator Jon Anik and current UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad to name but a couple of the commentators on this recent overseas social media photo dump.

Khabib Nurmagomedov puts the kibosh on ever returning to the UFC

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the most prolific MMA fighters of all time with UFC championship accolades and an undefeated record upon retiring four years ago at 29-0 as a professional mixed martial artist. To that point, the intrigue has been there for the subsequent years since Nurmagomedov hung up the gloves about whether a return to the cage could ever be in the cards.

The 36-year-old was asked about this by iNews during a recent outing in Indonesia and Khabib Nurmagomedov stated that there was no chance of a return. Not just that but Nurmagomedov stated that there is not even a one percent chance and in fact a negative percentage on if he'd ever don the gloves to enter the cage again.

'The Eagle' is still fairly involved in the mixed martial arts world today but seems to prefer to contribute in a coaching capacity these days. Some of his star pupils include current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, reigning Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov, and perhaps the next UFC bantamweight title challenger Umar Nurmagomedov.

The native of Russia mentioned in the referenced interview how he would never be missed because while he did capture people's attention as a UFC champion, he is honing the skills of several current titleholders and future champions to come.

If UFC 254 and his submission victory over Justin Gaethje in October 2020 is in fact his last outing, Khabib will have left an indelible mark on the sport that will be held in high regard for years to come.
