Fans have voiced their opinions on Marlon Vera's jab at Deiveson Figueiredo for his recent association with UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov. Vera is set to return to the octagon against Figueiredo in a bantamweight bout on the main card of UFC Abu Dhabi this weekend.
A recent video surfaced that shows Figueiredo training at Nurmagomedov's gym in Abu Dhabi. In the clip, 'The Eagle' can be heard informing the two-time flyweight champion's camp that they are welcome at his gym any time, saying:
"Any time, this is your home guys. You are welcome, any time. Good luck. Good luck this Saturday."

However, in a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Vera shared his thoughts on Figueiredo seemingly training with Nurmagomedov. The former title challenger mocked the Brazilian, saying:
''I don't think you'll learn wrestling in one week. Khabib probably has this stigma that he can be a coach and everything. Well, good luck with that. I'm prepared. I brought really good training partners, excellent wrestlers, and grapplers in my gym... If he wanna wrestle, we can wrestle.''

Marlon Vera, a former UFC bantamweight title challenger, will face Deiveson Figueiredo in a highly anticipated fight at UFC Abu Dhabi. This weekend, Vera will look to stop the rise of the former UFC flyweight champion at bantamweight, the weight class the Ecuadorian has called home since 2017.
In the aforementioned interview, Vera discussed his clash with Figueiredo, saying:
