Anshul Jubli is determined to become the second Indian-born mixed martial artist in the UFC, and he will begin his journey to achieving glory this Saturday, February 4, at UFC Vegas 68 against Jeka Saragih. The fight will be featured on the preliminary card for the event.
Jubli is strongly motivated to exact revenge for the loss of his compatriot Pawan Maan Singh in his Road to UFC lightweight final bout against Jeka Saragih on Saturday in Las Vegas. Saragih defeated Maan Singh in the quarterfinals of the event series in which top Asian MMA prospects competed to secure UFC contracts.
With ice in his veins and laser-like focus, Anshul Jubli is hell-bent on getting his hand raised. Speaking to Max Everett of Sportskeeda MMA, Jubli claimed that he's unfazed by the knowledge that his opponent is a former OPMMA Lightweight Champion with four successful defenses:

"My plan is to be the best in the world. I'm on a journey to be the best in the world and I'm doing everything I can to be there. I'm working hard, I'm training everyday. I'm training smart, I'm adapting new techniques. If I wanted to be a champion in the UFC, why would I care about somebody who was a champion in an Indonesian promotion? What matters to me is that I'm well prepared."
Soaring with confidence ahead of the big fight, Jubli went on to offer a prediction for the fight, claiming:
"The gameplan is simple. I'm going there to dominate the fight.... from the first minute of the fight. I'll try to break Jeka Saragih until he collapses. That's the plan. I'll win the fight inside three rounds."
The Indian prospect was recently signed to the renowned sports management firm Paradigm Sports, which represents some of the biggest names in combat sports, such as Conor McGregor, and will now receive full-service representation from the firm.
Anshul Jubli claims that losing the upcoming fight against Jeka Saragih never crossed his mind
On February 4, Anshul Jubli will face Jeka Saragih on the road to the UFC Finals. The event will be held on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Spivac at the Apex in Las Vegas.
A number of UFC fighters, notably Nate Diaz and Jon Jones, have said in the past that accepting the possibility of defeat has helped them succeed in the competition.
Yet Jubli has not entertained the possibility of defeat in his forthcoming bout with Jeka Saragih. Anshul Jubli told Sportskeeda MMA's Max Everett:
"This thing never crossed my mind. I'm being honest. I never thought about it. If I think about what I'm going to do [if he loses the upcoming fight]... The plan will be the same. I'll improve myself until I become the best."
Jubli added that he hopes Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski will still be active by the time he ascends the UFC ranks, expressing a desire to challenge the UFC stars.
