Joe Rogan made waves by acquiring a sprawling mansion in Austin, Texas, U.S.A. the same year he signed a mammoth $100 million deal. The veteran UFC color commentator purchased the mansion for a whopping $14.4 million, publicly confirming it in 2020.
Joe Rogan founded the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) podcast in 2009. It's long been beheld as one of the top podcasts of all time. Rogan famously signed a $100 million contract with Spotify in 2020, making his podcast's full-length episodes exclusive to that platform for a multi-year term.
In 2024, Rogan reportedly signed a $250 million Spotify deal, with the provision that the podcast be available on a few other major platforms as well. The mansion, which he bought around the time of his 2020 JRE-Spotify deal, has been home to Rogan, his wife Jessica Ditzel, and their children.
As reported by Finance Monthly, his 2020 purchase of the lakeside mansion in Austin, Texas, was one of the region's biggest real estate business deals. Adjacent to Lake Austin, the massive 11,000 square-foot property boasts a rare blend of tranquility and convenience and is situated away from downtown Austin's busy areas, but is still close enough to access basic urban institutions/facilities.

Built back in 2008, it had eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. It also boasted a 300-feet shoreline along Lake Austin. It features a park-like scenery and an alluring lake view, a kitchen entailing a formal dining space, two kitchen islands, and massive windows for adequate natural daytime light.
Joe Rogan's mansion consists of an opulent pool, terraces with incredible views, and three docks. The expansive yard was landscaped, comprising St. Augustine grass, and a view of hills filled with trees. It has two garages, considered ideal for Rogan's car collection, and a carriage house for an RV or a boat.
The mansion boasts stone walls, energy-efficient metal roofing, and several other modern amenities. A large gate and long driveway allow members of the house to enjoy their privacy. Other celebrities, including Hollywood legend Sandra Bullock, reportedly own houses in the area that's considered a prime and upscale real estate spot.
Apparently, property listings and tax documentation allude to it being a sought-after asset. Incidentally, Rogan himself cited the high taxation and other policies in the State of California as a major reason behind his moving to the State of Texas. Per Property Passion, the deal was clinched in a low-profile and off-market manner. It's also been renovated over the years.
UFC staple Aljamain Sterling hails Joe Rogan's "bada*ss" Texas property
In 2022, Aljamain Sterling visited Joe Rogan's mansion and shot for a JRE episode in a special studio meant for airing-cum-recording podcast episodes. Taking to his YouTube channel, Sterling was all praise for the property:
"The mat space, the bags, a sauna, a float tank, ice and cold plunge tub, gymnastic tumbling mat that felt like it was 50 yards ... They had a kitchen, a hot yoga room, and then obviously the studio. It's a pretty bada** facility."
