Bellator women's MMA star Sinead Kavanagh has praised Conor McGregor for his generosity after she revealed that the Irishman donated €10,000 to her early on in her career.
Kavanagh suffered through a tougher start than most as she looked to begin a career in boxing. During her 20s, she became a mother before tragically losing the father of her child. Her mother was also involved in a serious and life-changing car accident that also unfortunately resulted in both her aunt and uncle losing their lives. All these horrific events led to her spending a number of years homeless whilst caring for her child.
Sinead Kavanagh would eventually transition to MMA and has been fighting in Bellator since 2016. The 37-year-old is currently No.3 in the Bellator women's featherweight rankings and is set to rematch Janay Harding at Bellator 291 this weekend.

Ahead of her bout with Harding, Kavanagh reflected on the toughest period of her life and thanked Conor McGregor for everything he did for her. Speaking to the Irish Mirror, Kavanagh stated that the media are often too focused on the "bad" around McGregor and never on all the good that he does:
“I literally had no money, I was f***ing homeless. It was rough. He [Conor McGregor] gave me €10,000 to keep me going... He does so much for charity and for people in need, or people that might need surgeries and stuff like that. You only ever see ‘the bad Conor’, but there’s so much good that man does. People are just negative and just focus on the bad.”
Conor McGregor labels Michael Chandler more of an "athlete" than a fighter
Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler are currently filming in Las Vegas for the latest season of 'The Ultimate Fighter'. The pair are coaching against one another and are expected to main-event a pay-per-view later on in the year.
The Irishman recently discussed his role as a coach and analyzed his upcoming opponent whilst speaking to TheMacLife. In typical McGregor style, the 34-year-old is confident that he's going to walk through his opponent:
"He's more of an athlete type of a guy than a technical martial artist, you know. I know he's got some skills in the wrestling department. Then, he has got some skills overall but as far as the small finer details, I don't think... I'm not sure."
He added:
“I will slice through him in the octagon fight. I think a little slow for him from everyone he has fought. I’m too snappy and webby.”
