Darren Till recently lost to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282, making it three losses in a row in the organization. However, the Englishman has no plans to retire anytime soon, despite this poor run of form in the UFC.
Till was submitted in the third and final round in Las Vegas this weekend. However, 'The Gorilla' had a good second round. Du Plessis extends his current UFC winning streak to four and remains unbeaten in the organization.
While updating his fans on Instagram, Till stated that he isn't going to retire and the idea of him leaving the sport at just 29 years old was stupid (transcribed via MMA Junkie):
"I’ve been at this top of this sport since 2017. I entered in the UFC in 2015. I’m not retiring. This is not a retirement speech. I’m 29. That would be stupid to retire. But I’m on a bit of losing skid at the moment, I really am.

Darren Till hasn't won in the UFC since beating Kelvin Gastelum back in 2019. The Englishman managed to edge a split decision win against Gastelum at UFC 244: Masvidal vs. Diaz, but has had no success in his recent outings.
The next time Till steps into the octagon, he will likely be fighting to remain in the UFC rankings. The Englishman currently sits #10 in the middleweight division, but will drop significantly after losing to #14 ranked Du Plessis.

When did Darren Till last beat a UFC opponent via stoppage?
As mentioned, Darren Till has struggled to win consistently in the UFC, losing five out of his last six outings. Till's most recent win via stoppage came all the way back in 2017, when the Englishman beat Donald Cerrone in Gdansk, Poland.
Cerrone was stopped in the very first round when taking on Till, but the American has since left professional MMA after losing three UFC outings in a row. In fact, Till doesn't have a stoppage win against an active UFC opponent, with his only other stoppage coming against Wendell Oliveira.

After Till's recent defeat, it's hard to roadmap a legitimate charge to the UFC middleweight title. The Englishman has suffered back-to-back stoppage defeats against Dricus Du Plessis and Derek Brunson, with both losses coming in the third round.
