Moses Itauma's brother is the other high-profile boxer who shares the Itauma name. Yet, this Saturday, it is Moses who will be center-stage, as he takes on Demsey McKean in a heavyweight clash that will see him put his 10-0 record on the line against his opponent's 22-1.
But elsewhere, at light heavyweight, there is another Itauma who has made waves as a lethal power-puncher at the professional level: Karol Itauma. As an amateur, he won gold at the 2018 Youth Olympics, representing England. But therein lies a question.
Are the two boxers related or is there a third Itauma who is?

Is Moses Itauma related to Karol Itauma?
As it turns out, Moses Itauma is indeed related to Karol Itauma. At 19 years old, he is currently five years younger than his 24-year-old brother. However, their age difference will be shortened to four years within the next 10 days, as Moses turns 20 on Dec. 28.
Karol, in fact, is the reason Moses first became interested in boxing, who was already an amateur boxer by the time Moses was 9. Unfortunately, the physical demands of the sport proved too much for him, and he briefly found solace with his other older brother Samuel, with whom he played football/soccer.
Eventually, though, he returned to boxing and hasn't looked back since. Now, Moses is on the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury undercard this Saturday, facing Demsey McKean at heavyweight.
Moses Itauma moved to England at just four years old
While Moses Itauma represents England on the world stage, the WBO Intercontinental heavyweight champion was actually born in Kežmarok, Slovakia on Dec. 28, 2004 to a Nigerian father and Slovakian mother. Unfortunately, the family was subjected to racism, from which they subsequently escaped.
In 2008, Itauma became the last member of his family to move to England, with the family making their home in Kent. There, Itauma grew up idolizing one of boxing's flashiest fighters in the great Prince Naseem Hamed.
However, despite his admiration for the latter, Itauma is most often compared to another all-time great in feared heavyweight legend Mike Tyson due to their shared penchant for knockouts.
