Paddy Pimblett is a self-described Socialist who has an open disdain for Britain's Conservative Party. In an article by The Guardian, the Scouser said that he "hates the establishment, the Royal family and the Tories."

In the pre-fight interview leading up to UFC Fight Night 208, 'The Baddy' took aim at the current British prime minister Rishi Sunak for his vast wealth, while the people of Great Britain dealt with food shortages and rising prices for gas and electricity.

When asked about his opinions on rising gas and electricity prices, Pimblett said the following:

"It's absolutely disgusting, lad - how much that it has actually gone up. It's ridiculous. And, then you've got this Sunak saying that he wants to 'sort the country out'. Lad, you was the one what was in charge of all that, you little divvy. You was in charge of all the buds at being the chancellor. So, nah, let's do a general election and let's see them get voted out."

With regards to people eating out of food banks, Pimblett added:

"More and more people are eating out of food banks now. It really is heat or eat for some families - put the heating on or eat, and it's absolutely despicable that that's happening. Especially [with regards to] someone, like I say that Sunak - multi, multi millionaire, his bird's a billionaire. And, he's talking about sorting the economy out. Eat s**t, lad."

The Liverpudlian fighter also described his contempt for Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and called him out after his win over Rodrigo Vargas at UFC Fight Night 204. At the time, Paddy Pimblett's account had over 700,000 followers on Instagram and was suspended after the fighter, who is a Liverpool FC fan, got into a heated argument with a Manchester City fan on the social platform.

Paddy Pimblett flagged for xenophobic remarks upon UFC entry

Paddy Pimblett is notorious for a number of reasons -- his exciting fighting style, his outrageous weight gain between fight camps, and his off-the-cuff remarks that some may perceive as being hate speech.

'The Baddy' came under fire upon entering the UFC in 2021 for certain comments he made about Georgians and fighter Guram Kutateladze.

In a now-deleted tweet, Paddy Pimblett said the following:

"Lad, how stupid are these Georgians, man. No wonder the Russians terrorize their lives."

The Liverpudlian immediately received backlash from the Georgian community and former UFC flyweight Liana Jojua, who replied:

"If this guys thinks that this is somehow funny or appropriate then I don’t know what to say. My grandparents just like a lot of other innocent people were killed during the war. I feel ashamed that this kind of people represent our sport."

Following the backlash, Paddy Pimblett put out a statement apologizing to the people of Georgia, highlighting his ignorance of the conflict between Russia and Georgia.

Following his statement, Liana Jojua put out a tweet acknowledging the apology.
