After CEO Mark Zuckerberg came out on Aug. 27 claiming that the Joe Biden administration censored his media sites during the COVID-19 pandemic, Joe Rogan and Mike Baker reacted to the fallout on The Joe Rogan Experience. In light of Zuckerberg's claims, Rogan questioned if the demands from the White House were beyond just immoral.

The podcast host brought up a previous testimony from the US Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, who denied Zuckerberg's claims. Rogan wondered aloud if Mayorkas had committed "perjury."

Rogan said:

"Zuckerberg coming out and saying that thing yesterday was f****** huge... [Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas], when he was testifying said they didn't do that under oath. So is that perjury?"

The conversation began when Zuckerberg wrote a letter to the House Judiciary Committee claiming that Meta was pressured by the Biden administration to censor COVID-related content to avoid spreading misinformation. The CEO said he abided by the request but now, three years later, he regrets doing so.

Following Rogan's questioning of potential perjury, Mayorkas has not publicly responded or made any official statements.

In an episode that was released in 2022, Zuckerberg explained how he had Facebook censor information from the controversial Hunter Biden laptop case. The 40-year-old explained that the move came at the request of the FBI.

Just days removed from Zuckerberg's letter, no major consequences have come of the alleged report. Donald Trump, however, has recently come out and threatened the businessman with a potential "life in prison" sentence.
