MMA fighter-turned-WWE star Sonya Deville (real name Daria Berenato) is engaged to her girlfriend Toni Cassano.
Deville, WWE's first openly gay star, came out in 2015 when she was a part of 'Tough Enough', WWE's answer to The Ultimate Fighter. Cassano reportedly met Sonya for the first time during one of her WWE events in 2022.
However, the pair had seemingly been following each other on Instagram for a long time. The WWE star recently told Out:
"We both admired each from afar via Instagram for years. I feel like I'm dating my best friend. I feel like I didn't know what love was until I met her. It's just so easy and it's so right. I'm the best version of me when I'm with her"

Subsequent reports suggest that even Toni Cassano was planning on proposing to Sonya Deville and had brought a wedding ring four months prior.
While Cassano has more than 65k followers on Instagram, not much is known about her barring the fact that she is a fitness trainer. Cassano also has two daughters from her marriage prior to her relationship with Sonya.
Sonya Deville can't wait to make Toni Cassano her wife
Sonya Deville and Toni Cassano made their relationship public during the season 4 premiere of the Netflix show, Stranger Things, last year. The WWE superstar proposed to her girlfriend a day after Valentine's day this year and their engagement was subsequently confirmed.
During a recent appearance at the 34th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, the WWE star explained why she can't wait to get married to Cassano. She told PEOPLE:
"I just can't wait to marry her. I'm like, so do we plan the wedding now or do we wait? How does this work, I don't know how to do this? I'm in love with her and I just want to be with her forever. I say this every single day, like every day I go away for work, I fall more in love with her. And then when I come home I'm like, 'I literally love you more.' So I don't know if it's just going to keep going in that direction. I don't know if my heart can handle it, but that's literally every day for us."
