Terence Crawford has a complicated and unique relationship with PBC, otherwise known as Premier Boxing Champions. Will the organization, famously headed by Al Haymon, arguably boxing's most powerful figure, feature in Bud's' upcoming title fight with Israil Madrimov?
The pound-for-pound great takes on the undefeated Madrimov for the latter's WBA super welterweight strap and the vacant interim WBO super welterweight belt. The bout is defined by a large disparity in professional boxing experience, although Madrimov is no slouch and has taken part in over 300 amateur bouts.
Nevertheless, Crawford is expected to emerge victorious. So, where does PBC fit in all of this, if at all?

Terence Crawford's recent boxing run
Terence Crawford is currently undefeated, with a 40-0 record that has drawn comparisons to the legendary Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s perfect professional boxing career. In recent years, he has faced a trio of impressive opponents, starting with Shawn Porter, who he TKO'd after 10 rounds of action.
In doing so, he defended his WBO welterweight title before repeating the feat by knocking out David Avanesyan in six rounds. Thereafter, he had one of his greatest-ever performances against the then-undefeated Errol Spence Jr., dominating him en route to a 9th round.

With the win, Crawford captured the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, and The Ring welterweight titles while defending his WBO strap. This matchup with Spence was significant to his relationship with PBC.
Is Terence Crawford signed to PBC?
As it turns out, Terence Crawford isn't signed to PBC, and even when he was, it was a two-fight agreement to facilitate a fight with the organization's star, Errol Spence Jr. The two men clashed, with 'Bud' emerging victorious. Thereafter, Spence activated the rematch clause from the bout agreement.
Unfortunately, Spence underwent lens replacement surgery in early January. The recovery delayed the timeline of the rematch to such an extent that the window for said rematch expired, culminating in Crawford and PBC parting ways.
Now, 'Bud' is a free agent. He is expected to win his championship bout with Israil Madrimov later today and continue his pursuit of a Canelo Álvarez fight.
