Islam Makhachev recently called out Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo regarding the name of their online show. Usman and Cejudo have held titles across three weight divisions in the UFC with the former welterweight champ and the former flyweight/ bantamweight champion, respectively, naming their show, the Pound for Pound podcast.
The P4P podcast has quickly become a widely known outlet in this space, but the reigning UFC lightweight champion recently playfully took issue with its name. During an appearance on Demetrious Johnson's YouTube channel, Makhachev brought up the topic.
As the kingpin of the UFC's 155-pound division, Makhachev joked that Johnson and he should claim the podcast's name for themselves instead of Usman and Cejudo.

"Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman, they call their podcast pound for pound. We do not agree with this. You don't have permission. You have to close or call us, we give you permission... Or maybe we forgive them if they put our podcast in their channel."

Islam Makhachev favored over Jon Jones by acclaimed MMA coach
The debate about the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the sport between Islam Makhachev and Jon Jones continues to rage on. During a recent appearance on Hablemos MMA, the American Kickboxing Academy head coach Javier Mendez gave the advantage to Makhachev over Jones for his recent output inside the octagon.
Mendez spoke highly of the 33-year-old and asked how many fights Jones has had in the last four years to illustrate his point. The decorated MMA coach continued to elaborate on his point of saying he would give Jones the top spot if Makhachev had the same amount of fights over the last few years as Jones.
However, with the information we have to work with now, Mendez sees the Dagestan native as P4P #1 but clarified that the GOAT conversation is a separate discussion altogether and that he's not going around saying that Makhachev is the greatest fighter of all time.
