Israel Adesanya has just taken to Instagram to reveal a $10,000 bet made on the Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois boxing match. The latter two will clash over the IBF heavyweight title tomorrow, and 'The Last Stylebender' is favoring Joshua to emerge victorious.

As per the odds of the fight, Adesanya stands to pocket $50,000 for his $10,000 stake if Joshua does indeed get his hand raised. The bout is of significance for both Joshua and Dubois, as a win sets the tone for their future prospects. Notably, Joshua is a former unified heavyweight champion.

Unfortunately, back-to-back losses against Oleksandr Usyk likely mean that he will never again challenge for the remaining belts so long as the Ukrainian legend is the division's unified champion. However, Usyk is currently headed toward a rematch with the great Tyson Fury.

Given the interest in a Fury-Joshua bout, a win for the 'Gypsy King' over Usyk would be the only path for 'AJ' to recapture all of the belts. However, both of them must emerge victorious for that to happen, which is an especially tall order for Fury given that Usyk has already beaten him and does better in rematches.

Betting is nothing new for Adesanya, who has himself been the subject of bets made by others. Canadian rapper Drake, for example, notably bet on 'The Last Stylebender' to beat both Sean Strickland and Dricus du Plessis, predictions that did not come to pass, as Adesanya went on to lose both of those fights.

Israel Adesanya and Anthony Joshua have a good relationship

Israel Adesanya and Anthony Joshua are both among the world's most popular combat sports athletes. Moreover, the two men have Nigerian roots, with the former UFC middleweight champion having actually been born in the country, while Joshua is the son of a Nigerian mother and a father of Nigerian descent.

The two have established a relatively friendly relationship, with Adesanya and Joshua having been pictured in each other's company in the past. The degree to which they are close is unknown, but both men have only ever spoken glowingly of each other.
