Israel Adesanya gives hilarious reaction to Shara Magomedov's UFC 308 callout

Shara Magomedov's callout of Israel Adesanya following the former's win at UFC 308 has prompted a funny response from 'The Last Stylebender'. Adesanya found himself wondering what he had done to provoke Magomedov's wrath.

Magomedov took on Armen Petrosyan in a middleweight bout on the main card of UFC 308 this past weekend. The Russian, renowned for his smooth striking abilities, knocked out Petrosyan in spectacular fashion, landing a double-spinning back fist in the second round.

Following the win, Magomedov spoke to UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier during his in-ring interview and made a surprising callout to Adesanya, saying:

''Listen to me guys, I'm the best striker in this division. I'm going to smash Israel Adesanya. Stay in your seats, this island was captured by the pirate, don’t panic. Dana White, I came for my gold!”

Adesanya recently uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, where he gave his reaction to the UFC 308 card. In response to Magomedov's callout, the Nigerian-born Kiwi chuckled and embraced his inner Will Smith, bringing up the incident at the 2022 Oscars when Smith smacked host Chris Rock.

Adesanya also quoted a humorous meme of rapper 50 Cents.

Following his win at UFC 308, Shara Magomedov doubled down on a potential fight with Israel Adesanya.

Magomedov spoke to Full Send MMA in his post-fight interview and issued a strong warning to Adesanya, claiming that the Russian had pursued the former champion since the ex-UFC champ's kickboxing days.

''I've been trying to get this guy [Adesanya] for a long time. I've already beaten his sparring partner; I was trying to fight him in kickboxing in China when he was in China. He got away there, so now I've been chasing him here. The only way he can get away now is if he quits or retires. Other than that I will find him.''
