Boxing Hall of Famer Mike Tyson has never been afraid to punch above his weight, a fearless trait that Eddie Abasolo wants to emulate at ONE 169: Malykhin vs Reug Reug.
'Silky Smooth' will look to break into the featherweight Muay Thai division's top 5 by beating the towering Mohamed Younes Rabah on Nov. 8 inside the hallowed grounds of Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
In order to find the chin of his lanky 6-foot-2 foe, Abasolo says he's taking inspiration from 'Iron Mike', who's been known to crack the skulls of adversaries much taller than him for most of his legendary career.

The Filipino-American striker shared in an appearance on 4oz to Freedom's YouTube channel:
"Since all my opponents have been consecutively tall, it's just starting to become a regular thing for me now. You know, Mike Tyson, a lot of his opponents were a lot taller than him. So it's like man it could be done. It ain't no thing."
So far, Abasolo has only won one of his first four matches in the home of martial arts, and he's eager to turn his fortunes around.
His decision losses against physically imposing opponents Liam Nolan, Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, and most recently, Luke Lessei, were all closely contested match-ups that could have gone either way.
