Reigning ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion and former longtime lightweight kickboxing king Regian Eersel lost his belt to Alexis Nicolas earlier this year.
But the 31-year-old Sityodtong Amsterdam representative feels a lot better about his performance in their first encounter at ONE Fight Night 21 on Prime Video back in April, after watching a tape of the fight and discovering he did a lot better than initially thought.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Eersel says after the first fight with Nicolas, he immediately went back to his hotel room to watch how everything played out in the ring.

'The Immortal' had this to say:
"After the fight? I got, you know, went back to the hotel, took a shower, and talked about the fight with my coaches. And I think it took, like, two hours, two and a half hours before I rewatched the fight. I rewatched the fight with my teammate also. And it was better than I thought it was."
Nicolas dropped Eersel early in the fight and then went on to win a unanimous decision on the judges' scorecards to take the lightweight kickboxing throne. Now, Eersel is looking for vengeance as the two meet again tomorrow night.
