Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Dante Leon's flawless ONE Championship debut was so impressive that fans wanted to see an encore right away. The world's largest martial arts organization rewarded the Canadian grappler's excellence with a quick turnaround at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev on Prime Video.
In less than 24 hours, Leon will tussle with fellow BJJ wizard Tommy Langaker in a 10-minute 180-pound catchweight submission grappling showdown at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Living up to the hype, the two-time IBJJF No-Gi World Champion barely broke a sweat when he needed just two minutes to submit Bruno Pucci with a masterful triangle/armbar at ONE Fight Night 26 last December.

After collecting his $50,000 performance bonus, a grateful Dante Leon will return to 'The Mecca of Muay Thai' and look to deliver another awe-inspiring performance against the former lightweight submission grappling world title challenger.
The Pedigo Submission Fighting standout told Nick Atkin during his pre-event interview:
"I feel good, first time in Thailand was really cool, just between the city, the culture, and the event, first time. So having a chance to take that short-notice match and then come back for another one was just cool. It was a cool opportunity."

Dante Leon praises Tommy Langaker for pushing Kade Ruotolo to the limit
Dante Leon knows the danger that Tommy Langaker brings, considering they fought before in the gi. The 29-year-old lost to the Norwegian by points at the 2018 IBJJF Pan-American Championships.
Both grapplers have grown immensely since. Leon, for his part, is impressed that Langaker more than held his own in his two duels with lightweight submission grappling king Kade Ruotolo inside the ONE ring.
Leon told Nick Atkin:
"Tommy's a world champ. Tommy's pushed for the title over here. He's pushed Kade to the limit two or three times. He has wins over several really good competitors."
ONE Fight Night 27 will air live in US Primetime on Jan. 10 free for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
