Luke Lessei's father built his foundation, and coach Bob Peach unleashed his full potential.
The American star returned to the win column with a sublime first-round knockout of Cody Jerome in their 160.5-pound catchweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 27 this past weekend.
Lessei was precise to a fault and battered Jerome to capture the knockout win and send the Lumpinee Stadium crowd into a frenzy.
In an interview with Nick Atkin, Luke Lessei said his new coach's game plan worked to perfection and he felt a new sense of power when he battered Jerome.

Lessei, though, did not have his coach and father in his corner. The family patriarch elected to stay home in Iowa to tend to his businesses.
"I don't know what I was expecting. I know my coach, Bob Peach, was expecting exactly that. He's been making all these crazy predictions all week. And he calls a spot kick, which is that left kick, that left liver kick, he called it. I did it. And that's what a coach and a fighter relationship should be. They call it and you do it and it ends up working."
Before his ONE Fight Night 27 clash against Jerome, Lessei came off a heartbreaking loss to Bampara Kouyate at ONE Fight Night 23.
Lessei, nevertheless, found the rhythm and fortitude to return to the win column and re-establish his presence in the featherweight Muay Thai division.
