Mixed martial arts GOAT candidate and reigning and undisputed ONE flyweight MMA world champion 'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson of the United States shocked the world a few weeks ago, when he entered an openweight BJJ tournament bracket and tapped out a 250-pound man.

Johnson, who competes in ONE Championship's flyweight limit of 135 pounds, was giving up massive size and weight to 6-foot-3-inch tall opponent Michael Sante Medina at the IBJJF Masters Pan Am Championships in Florida.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani in a recent guest appearance on The MMA Hour, Johnson recalled how he submitted and finished his heavyweight foe in one of the most shocking examples of the effectiveness of BJJ.

'Mighty Mouse' said:

"So I'm sitting there waiting and looking and when I got it, it was my favorite submission -- the bow and arrow. I was like, 'I'm gonna fucking hit him with it. What's the worst thing that can happen? If he gets on top of me and then I get up on my black ass and try again."

Johnson once again proved just how great he is as a martial artist, and how his otherworldly talent is just absolutely unique.

Demetrious Johnson on trying to submit 250-pound behemoth: "It's built in my DNA"

'Mighty Mouse' Demetrious Johnson won't settle for anything less than a finish, whether it's in mixed martial arts, or a grappling tournament. So when he had the opportunity to tap out heavyweight Michael Sante Medina at the IBJJF Masters Pan Am Championships last March, the 38-year-old quickly capitalized.

He told Ariel Helwani:

"In the gi, I took him donw, and he was trying to elevate me and I was just trying to land on him to get my two [points]. For me, I want to submit. It's built in my DNA. For me, you don't wait. You just submit. Fight and force a submission."
