Tawanchai PK. Saenchai feels inspired to return to the place where it all began for him nine years ago.
The iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Thailand has been a home to some of the greatest Muay Thai fighters on the planet. Many legendary Lumpinee champions such as Dieselnoi Chor Thanasukarn and Saenchai have fought inside its prestigious and battle-tested ring.
Tawanchai himself even had some of the most enthralling matches inside the stadium before he signed with ONE Championship in October 2020. Returning full-circle to the place where his professional run first took flight, the Muay Thai phenom feels double-inspired to put on a show for his countrymen.
In a recent ONE Championship promo, he said:

The 23-year-old phenom is en route to defending his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world title for the first time, against Turkish-born striker ‘Yeniciri’ Jamal Yusupov this Friday at ONE Fight Night 7: Lineker vs. Andrade II.
According to Tawanchai, his European rival is going to be his toughest challenge to date. ‘Yeniciri’ has championship experience at the national level as well as a unique fighting style that may be too hard to handle. Conversely, Yusupov hasn’t met someone as strong and as lethal as Tawanchai.
So expect nothing but pure fireworks as two of the greatest Muay Thai strikers battle out their differences inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium.
