"It felt like an electric shock" - Kulabdam admits he was fully rattled by John Lineker's early knockdown at ONE Fight Night 27

Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai has faced some of the very best competitors in his weight class during his time in ONE Championship.

The dangerous Thai striker was an experienced and dangerous athlete even before he arrived in ONE and started applying his trade in the bantamweight Muay Thai division.

At ONE Fight Night 27, he looked to record consecutive wins against a fellow knockout artist who really put him to the test. Kulabdam had to dig deep to come out on top against John Lineker, winning the match on the judges' scorecards.

The trademark pressure and aggression of Lineker was a factor right from the opening bell, and he even scored an early knockdown on his opponent. Experience was always going to be an important element of this fight and the Thai competitor was able to rely on this in difficult moments.

Reflecting on the fight in his post-event press conference, the victor spoke about what it was like to go head-to-head with one of the most dangerous punchers in all of mixed martial arts:

"I have never faced an opponent that had such strong hands that got me knocked down. It felt like an electric shock."

Kulabdam is also known for knocking out opponents with an impressive run of finishes under his belt.

However, going to war with John Lineker was always going to be an uphill battle and as we've seen in his recent Muay Thai bouts, when 'Hands of Stone' hits people, they tend to stay hit.

This time around, his opponent was able to withstand the oncoming storm and bounce back in the following rounds in order to make the fight competitive.

Lineker wasn't able to put his man away and that allowed Kulabdam to work his way into the fight and start to achieve success.
