Much like the rest of Team Lakay, ONE rising star Lito Adiwang will be rooting for Stephen Loman when he takes on the biggest challenge of his career so far at ONE on Prime Video 4: Abbasov vs. Lee.

On November 18, inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium, ‘The Sniper’ will look to build his case for a ONE bantamweight world title shot by beating the man who previously reigned the division for so long, Bibiano Fernandes.

Adiwang, who’s still recuperating from his ACL surgery, couldn’t help but marvel at Loman’s peak conditioning heading into his dream bout against the Brazilian superstar.

However, the strawweight fighter believes finishing off a grizzled veteran like Fernandes will be much easier said than done. Team Lakay, after all, is quite familiar with Fernandes’ capabilities, considering he fought Kevin Belingon four times.

While Filipino fans would love to see Loman knock ‘The Flash’ out with that destructive left hand of his, Adiwang believes this fight may go down as a battle of attrition for the entire 15 minutes.

‘The Thunder Kid’ said in an interview with ONE Championship:

“This fight might go to the scorecards. They are both very experienced fighters and know how to win by any means, which means it could come down to who judges think performed better. It could go the distance.”

Still, Lito Adiwang furthered that Loman’s elite skills and massive improvements should lead him to victory:

“Of course, my pick is Stephen Loman.”

While Loman may not be as experienced as his opponent, ONE fans already saw a lot out of the Filipino warrior in his first two appearances inside the circle.

‘The Sniper’ showcased the ability to finish the fight in an instant when he clocked Yusup Saadulaev with a monster left hand in less than a round. We’ve also seen Loman get taken to deep waters by Shoko Sato in his last outing, which he won convincingly after three rounds.

While Bibiano Fernandes is certainly a different monster altogether, Adiwang thinks Stephen Loman is well-equipped to get the job done.

Jeremy Pacatiw says Stephen Loman is “too strong” for Bibiano Fernandes

Lito Adiwang is not the only Team Lakay member who can attest to the unreal power that Stephen Loman possesses. His fellow bantamweight, Jeremy Pacatiw, has felt the wrath of Loman during their intense training sessions high up in the mountains of Benguet.

In a separate interview with ONE Championship, ‘The Juggernaut’ said Fernandes will be in for a rude awakening if he tries to outmuscle Loman in their fight.

“He can try his best but he will fail. Stephen Loman is a different animal. He’s just too strong for Bibiano Fernandes.”

Fernandes, of course, is one of the most decorated submission artists in the promotion. ‘The Flash’ is once again expected to utilize his BJJ wizardry against the Filipino slugger in their bout.

But as far as Pacatiw and Adiwang are concerned, Stephen Loman will do just fine and has nothing to worry about.
