Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion Danielle Kelly of the United States considers herself a survivor of childhood bullying.
But it was only when she decided to stick up for herself that allowed her to escape this educational system epidemic. Thankfully, Kelly's late father and mother supported her throughout the ordeal, and she will never forget it.
Kelly told the story of how she fought back against a bully at school, and how her dad came to her aid. She said on The Few Will Hunt show:

"Then the aide yelled at me, not her, who started it. Yelled at me. I got the suspension. And then when the aide told my dad, because my dad picked me up that day, my dad was asking the aide, like, 'Okay. Was Danielle okay? Did she beat up the girl pretty good, because she was starting with my daughter?'"
Kelly continued:
"Then the principal was like 'Oh, we don't condone violence, this, that.' And then my mom was like, screaming at them on the phone: I've been calling you guys, you guys don't do anything. And my dad was like, 'Alright, I'm taking Danielle to Dunkin Donuts.' Like, yeah, whatever. Screw it. So it was the greatest day of my life, finally."
