ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong was overjoyed with how one of the promotion's biggest events of the year played out in front of his very eyes.
Among all of the fight cards that have taken place this year, ONE 168 on Sept. 6 was always going to be a whole other level. Following the success of ONE Fight Night 10 last year, the promotion returned to the United States for its second-ever event in America.
The Ball Arena in Denver played host to a historic night that featured incredible fights and the final goodbyes of two martial arts legends.
In his post-event press conference, Sityodtong reflected on how well the event went in his eyes:

"There's no other organizations in the US that can do that. And you guys saw the fans reaction, it was insane. The energy the whole night, the cheering, it was insane. Couldn't hear myself speaking, yeah. It was just an incredible and epic night. I think for me, personally, this was the greatest ONE Championship event we've ever held for many reasons, right? Again, we had DJ [Demetrious Johnson] retiring, we had Liam Harrison retiring, it's just so much full of magic."

It was a special night for Chatri Sityodtong
Of course, most importantly for Chatri Sityodtong, the fighters delivered at ONE 168. As a result, so did the fans inside the building.
Seeing Demetrious Johnson and Liam Harrison step away from ONE Championship was emotional but it wasn't the only thing that brought tears to the eyes of the ONE CEO.
Sityodtong was awarded his black belt live on the broadcast by Renzo Gracie which added just one more highlight of the night for him.
The full replay of ONE 168 is available on demand for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
