ONE bantamweight Muay Thai standout Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai dug deep to earn the unanimous decision victory over John Lineker after getting dropped in the first round of their catchweight (150.75 pounds) Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 27 this past Friday, Jan. 10.
Speaking with the Bangkok Post after the event, the hometown hero reflected on how he rebounded from the knockdown, saying:
"I don't remember exactly what happened. It's just like I got hit, and then I got knocked down. Then I just remembered that there were pictures of my kids floating in my head. Like I saw pictures of my kids, and it was a wake up call, so I had to get up and fight again."

Kulabdam expects John Lineker to have a successful Muay Thai career
Despite ending John Lineker's two-fight winning run in Muay Thai, Kulabdam believes the former ONE bantamweight MMA king has the tools to succeed in 'The Art of Eight Limbs'.
In the same interview with the Bangkok Post, Kulabdam said:
"I think his skills in Muay Thai is quite good and I think how he's physically built is very advantageous for him. I don't know how other people would feel, but for me, I think athletes who are shorter and have strong build are favored because when they face taller opponents, it's hard for their opponent to aim which part they want to hit. So that's why I think he could be a contender one day."
