Anissa Meksen explained why she felt disrespected by Kana Morimoto calling her out.
On Friday, Dec. 20, Meksen will return to action for her fourth promotional kickboxing bout. The former seven-time kickboxing and Muay Thai world champion is scheduled to face an intriguing challenge at ONE Friday Fights 92.
Meksen has been matched up against Kana, a promotional newcomer from K-1. The world-class female strikers have a history, as they trained together several years ago, which Meksen explained during the event's press conference:
"Kana acame to train with me back in 2020 for two weeks. After that, she fought and won the fight and she called me out. So that’s why I really want to face her because for me, it was a little bit disrespectful."
