Johan Ghazali is excited to return to action at ONE 168, where he hopes to get himself back in the win column. The rising star has had a sensational rise in the promotion, which saw him graduate from the Friday Fights series.
After earning a contract on the main roster following a string of impressive performances, the young prospect has shown what he is all about.
Even in defeat last time out against Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat, Ghazali gave everything he had to try and get his opponent out of there.
Whilst fighting smart is something that he needs to show going forward after he was too aggressive last time out, he's never not going to be an exciting striker.

This next fight also means a lot to him because he will be competing in the United States for the first time where his family will be able to support him.
Before he heads to the Ball Arena in Denver on September 6, Ghazali spoke in an interview with Nick Atkin about what fans can expect to see at ONE 168:
"Win or lose, I definitely put on the show every time. It'll be fun. It'll be worth your time."

Johan Ghazali doesn't need to change
His shock defeat at ONE 167 wasn't a sign that Johan Ghazali needs to start completely from scratch.
All he needed in that fight were a few tweaks to improve his overall game, such as cutting off his opponent and picking his shots better. His trademark speed and aggression were still on display, and they have been very effective for him.
Ghazali may need to bounce back, but that doesn't make the fight any easier for his opponent, Josue Cruz. Cruz will probably have to weather some storms in this fight to come out on top.
