No. 1 bantamweight contender Fabricio Andrade is every bit ready for John Lineker in their all-Brazilian rematch for the vacant ONE bantamweight world title next month.
“Wonder Boy” shared in an interview with The MMA Superfan that he has been preparing well for the title fight with Lineker and it does not matter what the former champion brings come fight night, even his vaunted wrestling skills.
He said:
“For me, it doesn't really matter what he's training or what he's going to try to do. I don't really care what my opponent is doing. The focus for me is to keep getting better, to keep improving in every area. So, of course, when I step in for an MMA fight, I'm ready to defend a takedown [until] the last fight.”

Fabricio Andrade and Lineker settle their unfinished business at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video on February 24 in Bangkok and are looking to claim the bantamweight world title belt.
The two top warriors first met for the world title in October last year, which unfortunately ended in a no-contest as Lineker was unable to continue after absorbing an accidental strike to the groin from Andrade in the third round.
The outcome was another sour note for the fight, which also saw Lineker stripped of the bantamweight world title before the match for failing to make weight.
At ONE Fight Night 7, Fabricio Andrade is out to continue his solid form in the promotion that has him taking the bantamweight class by storm with five victories and zero defeats to date.
All the action from the event will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers across North America.
Fabricio Andrade says Stephen Loman is next in line for world title shot
While he has yet to claim the vacant ONE bantamweight world title, Fabricio Andrade wants to take on Filipino contender Stephen Loman next in a championship clash.
In an interview with ONE Championship, ‘Wonder Boy’ said he is keen on a showdown with No. 3 contender Loman once he defeats fellow Brazilian and former world champion John Lineker in their rematch for the vacant bantamweight crown at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video in February.
Fabricio Andrade said:
“If it’s not Stephen, who’s gonna be the next one? There are not so many people at the moment, let him come. I would like to fight him, you know. I wanna stay busy, I wanna finish Lineker without injuries then I’m ready to knock him out as well.”
Fabricio Andrade has been on a roll in ONE Championship, winning all five of his fights to date and is now angling to take it all the way and win a world title.
Being part of ONE, he said, has been a life-enhancing experience where he has seen many of his career dreams come to reality.
