"It's a bigger risk for me" - Freddie Haggerty says there's a lot on the line vs Jordan Estupinan at ONE 170

Freddie Haggerty believes that he has more to lose than his opponent does in his upcoming bout at ONE 170. The 20-year-old has been highly impressive during the short time that we have seen him competing in ONE Championship.

After joining the promotion in January 2024, he has gone on to fight three times, racking up three knockouts in the process. The younger brother of Jonathan Haggerty knows that he is likely within touching distance of a main roster contract which will be a huge step up for his career.

That's also why his next test on Jan. 24 at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, is so important because this fight could be a make or break moment for Haggerty.

Freddie Haggerty is set to welcome Jordan Estupinan to the promotion with ONE fans already being familiar with his brother, Johan, who is also on the card.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, the Brit spoke about what this flyweight Muay Thai fight means to him:

"I think it's a bigger risk for me too because it's his debut. Whereas if I lose, do I have to go back to ONE Friday Fights and work my way back up? I don't want to do that. I want to be on the big shows. The risk should pay off this time, and I should get the contract."
