Brazilian jiu-jitsu star and former IBJJF no-gi world champion Dante Leon is having the time of his life in the world's largest martial arts organization. Leon joined ONE Championship late last year, debuting with a slick submission win over BJJ black belt Bruno Pucci in December.

He returned just last weekend to take home a unanimous decision win over Norwegian rival Tommy Langaker at ONE Fight Night 27 on Prime Video.

Speaking to the media at the official post-event interviews backstage, Leon described how happy he was to be in ONE amidst some of the biggest names in martial arts.

The Pedigo Submission Fighting representative said:

"So, you know, we're all strangers. We're all from different corners of the world. Just in my room alone, we had two people from Canada. We had someone from Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan. I mean, that's just literally all across the entire world."

ONE Championship is truly a global organization, and the best guys like Dante Leon are leading the charge.

ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev on Prime Video was broadcast live from the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday, Jan. 11. Fans in the United States and Canada can catch all the action via replay on-demand on Amazon Prime Video.

Dante Leon happy to mix it up with the world's best in ONE: "We can all kind of link up and root for one another"

One thing different in ONE Championship as compared to other organizations is the camaraderie between athletes. Dante Leon claimed it is what surprised him when he went into the locker room in his promotional debut.

He said:

"The last time I was here, we had people from Japan, Australia, Canada, Italy, all over the map. So it's cool to come into a sport like this, where you have strangers from, you know, tens of thousands of miles apart from each other, and we can all kind of link up and root for one another and help each other through the week that we're here before the matches."
