Superbon sent a clear message when he knocked out Jo Nattawut in under two minutes at ONE Friday Fights 81 last year.

After all, the featherweight kickboxing world champion made it look easy against the 35-year-old veteran, a feat that Tawanchai PK Saenchai couldn't achieve.

While 'Smokin' Jo didn't get his hand raised against Tawanchai on two separate occasions, he was able to take away the sensational Thai superstar's cloak of invincibility.

Nattawut pushed the reigning featherweight Muay Thai kingpin to the brink, something that Superbon took notice of.

That said, the Superbon Training Camp head added more fuel to the fire in his rivalry with Tawanchai by putting Nattawut away with a sensational first-round KO via a wicked elbow.

Superbon told The Bangkok Post's Nick Atkin:

"Because I’ve watched Jo for a long time. I know his strong side - he has good hands. His kicks are not really good. But he’s good with his hands," he shared.
"I have dealt with a lot of people who fight using their hands a lot in kickboxing. So when I fight in Muay Thai rules, you have the elbows to deal with. So for people who are just good with their hands in boxing, I think it’s easier for me."

Superbon wants to set the tone for 2025 by dethroning Tawanchai

Like Jo Nattawut, Superbon also put up a great fight against Tawanchai in their initial encounter at ONE Friday Figths 46.

However, things didn't go his way on the scorecards, as the reigning featherweight Muay Thai world champion was able to keep his crown after five full rounds.

After securing his world title rematch by finishing Nattawut, Superbon has sights on getting even this Friday when he runs it back with Tawanchai in the curtain closer of ONE 170.

"If I do well in my first fight in 2025, it should be a good momentum for me to have success throughout this year. Maybe defend my kickboxing title or have a series of events. I think it will be a good start to defeat Tawanchai in the first fight of the year," he said during the ONE 170 press conference.

ONE 170 will emanate from Bangkok's Impact Arena on Jan. 24. The full event will air live in Asian Primetime via watch.onefc.com.
