Christian Lee isn’t just facing the biggest fight of his career next time out, he may be facing his toughest opponent to date. At ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Warrior’ will move up a weight class to challenge welterweight world champion Kiamrian Abbasov.
After avenging his loss to Ok Rae Yoon and winning back his lightweight world championship, Lee has his sights set on writing his name under legendary status. At ONE 160, he produced one of the best performances of his career to reaffirm his status in the circle.
Kiamrian Abbasov, meanwhile, has reigned as welterweight world champion since 2019 and will be returning to his weight class after failing to become a simultaneous double-weight world champion himself. Now, he will try to prevent Lee from doing the same.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Lee spoke about the challenge that Abbasov presents:

“It’s definitely not going to be an easy fight for me, it’s not an easy fight for anybody. And I’m training really hard to make sure that I’m prepared for everything that Abbasov is going to bring to the table.”
Not only is Christian Lee competing to win a second world championship, he will add his name to the history books if he is successful. That's because a win will see him become the youngest-ever double-weight champion.
Christian Lee says winner of Roberto Soldic vs. Murad Ramazanov will be the next world title challenger
Christian Lee faces the toughest test of his career to date at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18.
But despite the threat that Abbasov poses, Lee has already started to analyze the welterweight division for potential threats if he is successful in his bid to become a simultaneous double-weight champion.
Just a few weeks on from ONE on Prime Video 4’s champion vs. champion matchup, Roberto Soldic will take on the undefeated Murad Ramazanov in a fight with huge implications for the welterweight division.
In an interview with The MMA Superfan, Lee gave his thoughts on the crucial clash:
“I think that’s a title eliminator fight. I think that whoever wins that fight will be next in line for the belt. Ramazanov, I believe he has three wins in the welterweight division, a very impressive record. He could have been next in line for the welterweight shot as well. And with Roberto coming in, bringing the resume that he has, I think definitely the winner of that fight will be next.”
