'Singh' Arjan Bhullar was not impressed with 'Sladkiy' Anatoly Malykhin’s recent knockout win against Reinier de Ridder in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 5.
In 2022, Russia's Malykhin has successfully captured the ONE interim heavyweight world championship and the ONE light heavyweight world title. He won both titles with knockout finishes.
But ONE heavyweight world champion Arjan Bhullar is not impressed. On Instagram, the Indian-Canadian wrestler shared his thoughts on the Russian's fight with de Ridder, explaining:
"He's not a 2 weight champ [ONE Championship] he's now the light heavyweight champ. It's easy to punch out a BJJ guy with 0 takedown ability. He did what he was supposed to. Let me do what I'm supposed to. I was told March earlier this week. Still waiting on the paperwork ..."

Arjan Bhullar won the heavyweight throne in 2021 when he stopped then-champion Brandon Vera. Unfortunately, since then, 'Singh' has sat out due to contract disputes with ONE and injuries.
Meanwhile, the heavyweight division continued to move forward and crowned an interim world champion in Russian knockout machine Anatoly Malykhin.
This past weekend 'Sladkiy' added the ONE light heavyweight throne to his domain with a first-round knockout. Fans are now demanding to see a showdown between ONE's two heavyweight kings.
Anatoly Malykhin has trash talk for Arjan Bhullar
Verbally, since being crowned the interim world champ, Anatoly Malykhin has thrown everything he can at heavyweight king Arjan Bhullar. Over time, he's called Bhullar a "chicken" and a fake champion.
Earlier this year, Malykhin even questioned Bhullar's wrestling credentials. In an interview with ONE, Malykhin said:
“[Bhullar] is my little baby chicken who is clinging on to the belt that should be mine. He’s not a real champion. He keeps hiding from strong opponents, tries to choose convenient opponents. I am a Russian Freestyle Wrestling Champion, so he won’t be able to surprise me. His striking is very weak, it looks like he is trying to swat a mosquito. People will forget him after I am finished with him.”
In 2023, fans will no doubt be looking forward to a possible clash between the heavyweight kings in ONE Championship. A world title unification bout between Bhullar and Malykhin may be the most anticipated fight of the year.
