Jake Paul took part in a recent press conference alongside women's boxing legend Amanda Serrano. During 'The Problem Child's' conversation with the media, he engaged MMA Fighting about facing Nate Diaz in an MMA bout. Unfortunately, Paul has accused Diaz of being too fearful to do so.
Despite Diaz's reservations about accepting an MMA fight with Paul, 'The Problem Child' maintains that it would be the biggest payday of the former's combat sports career. Nevertheless, Diaz has shown little interest in the bout and seems intent to return to the UFC. Paul, however, finds him cowardly.
"It's funny that Nate Diaz is actually scared to fight me in MMA, actually. The biggest payday of his life would be me and him in an MMA [fight]. So, I'm ready."

Diaz, however, has consistently lambasted Paul in the media, dismissing him as a fraudulent fighter. Paul, though, signed with the PFL back on Jan. 5, 2023, almost two years ago. Despite the fact that he has been training and even offered to face Diaz in MMA, the former 'BMF' title challenger has always turned him away.
Among Diaz's reasons for doing so is his disregard for the PFL as a promotion, having described it as a lower-level compared to the UFC. He expressed an unwillingness to work with them and it remains unlikely that he will ever entertain an MMA bout with Paul unless it, somehow, takes place in the UFC.
Alternatively, he could accept a fight if it were under his Real Fight Inc. promotion, but that remains to be seen.

On Aug. 5, 2023, Jake Paul and Nate Diaz locked horns in a 10-round boxing match that 'The Problem Child' won with relative ease. He even scored a particularly devastating knockdown, but Diaz, true to form, survived and fought on for the rest of the bout.
Despite losing on the scorecards, the Stockton superstar still put on a show as he taunted Paul and briefly trapped him in a standing guillotine choke, much to the delight of fans around the world.
