Reigning and undisputed ONE women's atomweight submission grappling world champion Mayssa Bastos of Brazil is widely considered as one of the most accomplished female grapplers in the sport of jiu-jitsu.
But she isn't all about just rolling on the mats. Bastos actually has other hobbies outside of turning opponents into human pretzels.
Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Bastos shared a hobby she started just recently that has her hooked.

The 27-year-old Art of Jiu-Jitsu Academy product said:
"What I've recently started collecting is Manga, a Japanese comic book style. But it's still a small collection because I only started it a short time ago. I started in the middle of this year, when I was in Japan. I've always liked Japanese culture, I've been to Japan several times and I had already read some Manga and watched some Anime, and I think that was what attracted me and motivated me to start this collection. But I just felt like starting this now."
And when she isn't getting lost in the pages of her favorite Japanese comic book, Bastos heads to the beach to enjoy some fun in the sun. She added:
"It's hard to choose a favorite hobby, but I really enjoy going to the beach, especially when I have some free time on the weekend. I also really like hiking. But I like to do the kind of trail where at the end I have that beautiful view, a kind of reward for the climb."
Bastos returns to action in the ONE Championship ring this weekend.

Brazilian submission grappling queen Mayssa Bastos wants a repeat performance over United States' Danielle Kelly in their highly anticipated world title rematch this weekend.
The two will square off in the main event at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Prime Video, which will air live in U.S. primetime this Friday, December 6. The event will take place at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
