Johan Ghazali's next fight could be one of his most intriguing yet. The Malaysian-American star will take on fellow young phenom Johan Estupinan in a highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai showdown at ONE 170 on Jan. 24, 2025, at Impact Arena.
In his virtual media day for ONE 170, Ghazali admitted that he and his team had studied Estupinan extensively heading into their Bangkok showdown. Ghazali added that Estupinan presents a style far different from that of the typical Muay Thai artist in ONE Championship.

"I have studied quite a lot of Johan Estupinan's style. His record, like you said brother, it's interesting. He's never been defeated, and he has a lot of knockouts."
Estupinan is a bonafide knockout artist, with a perfect 26-0 professional record and 4-0 slate in ONE Championship. The Colombian rising star combines Latin flair with traditional Thai striking during his matches, and has notched three knockout wins in the promotion.
That aggressive style, though, has sometimes put him on the receiving end of some nasty counters between the ropes. Nevertheless, Estupinan has captivated the Muay Thai community with his unfamiliar offensive approach in ONE Championship.
Ghazali, meanwhile, is adamant that he's ready to exploit the openings that could arise once Estupinan gets going. 'Jojo' is a lethal headhunter with an impressive 6-1 record in ONE Championship, with five of his wins coming via knockout.
The 18-year-old is coming off a spirited comeback win over Mexican striker Josue Cruz when he scored a last-second finish in the first round of their catchweight Muay Thai match at ONE 168: Denver.
Johan Ghazali ready to put on a show against Johan Estupinan in Bangkok
Johan Ghazali knows he and Johan Estupinan are the two fastest-rising stars in ONE Championship's stacked Muay Thai scene, and he expects their ONE 170 matchup to blow the roof off the Impact Arena.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Ghazali said he and Estupinan are set for a show-stealing performance and potentially claim Fight of the Night honors in Bangkok.
"It's gonna be a crazy fight. I'm gonna be fighting Johan Estupinan. We're both young, we're both up-and-coming. He's a hype train like me."
