Dante Leon is looking forward to his second outing under the ONE Championship banner where he faces a familiar foe under different circumstances.
The Canadian recently signed with ONE Championship as one of the promotion's latest star signings to its ever-growing submission grappling roster.
Leon was formerly a Gi competitor and during this part of his career, he clashed with one of the other top grapplers, who currently calls ONE home.
Seven years ago, he suffered a loss to Tommy Langaker but they're now set to run it back at ONE Fight Night 27 on Jan. 10.

Both men have been two of the top competitors in and around their weight class for some time and they've both made the jump to no-gi since that encounter.
In an interview with the Bangkok Post, Dante Leon spoke about how this adds a new element to their rematch which he is excited about:
"Tommy and I first went against each other in 2018 in the Gi. We've never gone against each other in no-gi, and we're two predominantly, we started as Gi grapplers, and now we're pretty much no-gi guys. So it's kind of cool that six-seven years down the line, we get to go against each other again in no-gi, rather than the Gi."

Dante Leon is looking to ascend the ladder
Dante Leon has already produced an impressive opening statement in ONE Championship with his debut performance at ONE Fight Night 26 last month.
The new arrival submitted Bruno Pucci to earn his first win and performance bonus before setting his sights on a rematch with Langaker.
He was granted his wish and that gives Leon a big opportunity to quickly climb the ranks in ONE.
Langaker is a former two-time ONE world title challenger in the promotion so beating him would prove that Leon belongs at the very top.
ONE Fight Night 27 will be available to all active Amazon Prime Video subscribers in North America live in U.S. primetime for free.
