"It's personal" - Belal Muhammad slams "trailer trash" Sean Strickland in unfiltered rant, teases plan to "smack around" 'Tarzan' at middleweight 

Belal Muhammad recently expressed his desire to lock horns against Sean Strickland at middleweight. Muhammad also labeled his rivalry with Strickland a "personal" one along with addressing 'Tarzan' with a derogatory title.

Muhammad claimed the UFC welterweight gold in his last encounter against Leon Edwards at UFC 304. However, the Palestinian-American pulled out of his first title defense encounter at UFC 310 due to a bone infection in one of his toes. Muhammad's in-octagon face-off with Shavkat Rakhmonov on the same night details that 'Nomad' still stands as his next scheduled rival.

However, in a recent interview with Submission Radio, Muhammad mentioned that he wants to move up to middleweight in the future. 'Remember The Name' elected Strickland as his most preferred middleweight rival, saying:

"If I beat the next guy [Muhammad's next rival], then I think that does give me the ability to move up. If Strickland figures out a way to win, I’d definitely go up to smack him around."

Muhammad also detailed that he personally dislikes Strickland for his brash takes on various social issues, dubbing Strickland a "trailer-trash":

"I hope he [Strickland] loses [his UFC 312 fight]. And I hope he gets knocked out unconscious and doesn’t wake up… I mean it’s personal. The guy is just an airhead. He’s literally the definition of trailer-trash. That’s what he is."

The tensions between Muhammad and Strickland have been escalating since 'Tarzan' took a jibe at Muhammad after the latter asked people to pray for Palestine following Hamas' attack on Israel in 2023.

Belal Muhammad expressed his thoughts about Khabib Nurmagomedov recently being removed from a plane

Belal Muhammad isn't a part of the Dagestani camp of fighters currently led by Khabib Nurmagomedov, but he has trained with them and has appreciated their dedication multiple times.

Many of Muhammad's statements showcase that he has the utmost respect for Nurmagomedov and a feeling of brotherhood towards the Dagestani camp.

Muhammad was gutted by the recent incident of Nurmagomedov being removed from a Frontier Airlines plane following a little altercation. He expressed his thoughts about the incident with a combination of humor and anger. Muhammad's X update read:

"He could've threw [thrown] everyone off the plane and flew it himself if he wanted."
