A world title is often the pinnacle of a fighter's career, and what Jarred Brooks recently shared on social media perfectly summed up what a piece of ONE Championship gold means to him.
The ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion took to Instagram to detail the value of the promotion's 26.4-pound golden strap in his career.
Jarred Brooks said the ONE world title is more than an amalgamation of leather and gold but embodies the hard work he's put in throughout his career.

"A title is not just a name; it's a symbol of the journey, the struggle, and the triumph behind it. #MMA #breakthematrix"
Brooks is one of the best natural grapplers in the sport, and he's used that overwhelming style to put opponents through the wringer. 'The Monkey God' is 5-1 in his ONE Championship tenure and was the former ONE strawweight MMA world champion.
The American star holds three submission wins in the promotion against Lito Adiwang, Bokang Masunyane, and Gustavo Balart. His lone loss in ONE Championship, however, came via disappointing disqualification after he inadvertently spiked Joshua Pacio on his head in their world title rematch at ONE 166: Qatar in March.
Brooks has since recaptured a piece of ONE Championship gold when he submitted Balart at ONE Fight Night 24 for the ONE interim strawweight MMA world title in August this year in Bangkok.
Jarred Brooks wants to shut Mansur Malachiev up in potential showdown
It seems Jarred Brooks wants to get busy even before his world title unification bout against ONE strawweight MMA world champion Joshua Pacio.
While waiting for Pacio to recover from a knee injury, Brooks looks for a matchup against number five strawweight MMA contender Mansur Malachiev.
Brooks revealed on Instagram the beef he has with Malachiev after the Russian grappling machine secured a unanimous decision win over Bokang Masunyane at ONE Fight Night 25:
"Over a year ago this fight could have happened and is now in fruition. Now that the dust has settled, this piece of s*** needs to prove a point and stop being a b@# and stop running 😂😂 Daddy's a regular here @mansur_malachiev_uf See you soon 😘 #onechampionship"
