Rodtang Jitmuangnon is among the many onlookers excited to see ONE featherweight Muay Thai world champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai defend 26 pounds of gold against 155-pound kickboxing king Superbon in the headliner of ONE 170 on Jan. 24.

In an interview with the world's largest martial arts promotion, the former flyweight Muay Thai world champion shared why fans need to tune in to his compatriots' epic rematch, saying:

"The fans will really enjoy this fight. Two Thai fighters against one another, some may question if it's inappropriate. But they both have the same purpose. It's their time to fight, and we need to accept that. It's something the audience would enjoy."

"This match of two Thai boxers fighting in Thailand is going to be something Thai people are going to be proud of."

Tawanchai holds one victory over Superbon, which he earned in December 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 46. In addition to the majority decision win, the PK Saenchai Muay Thai Gym product also logged his second successful defense of the throne.

However, the most violent version of Superbon appears to have arrived after the 34-year-old icon knocked out fellow Thai superstar 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut this past September.

Their heated battle inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand ultimately turned out to be a world title eliminator for the 155-pound Muay Thai world championship.

Rodtang highlights Tawanchai's biggest advantage over Superbon

With Tawanchai and Superbon set to renew hostilities inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, Rodtang pointed out that the 27-year-old will have the power advantage over Superbon.

Rodtang said as much in a separate interview with the promotion:

"Tawanchai has the upper hand on the heavy strikes. Heavy, powerful strikes can wear Superbon down easily."
