Jonathan Haggerty has proven throughout his career in ONE Championship that he can learn from his losses and come back stronger. That's exactly what the British striker is looking to do next time out following a disappointing outcome last time out.

'The General' was looking to continue his incredible run at bantamweight by headlining one of the biggest cards of the year, ONE 168: Denver.

However, his fairy tale victory inside the Ball Arena wasn't to be. In the first minute of his Muay Thai title defense against Superlek Kiatmoo9, he was stopped by a devastating elbow.

Haggerty isn't looking to make excuses for this and very quickly admitted he made a mistake early on that cost him the fight. Despite this, he does believe that things would have been very different if he was able to get out of the first round so that he could really have started to implement his game.

The Brit spoke about this during a recent appearance on the Winners Talking Podcast:

"I knew if I was just in the second or third round, it would have been a tough night for him. The entire fight would have had a different ending. But it is what it is."

Jonathan Haggerty is back on the saddle

As it showed in the interview, Jonathan Haggerty has regrets about this fight but isn't letting this halt his progress and evolution.

Jonathan Haggerty still holds the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship, so whether he's coming off of a win or a loss, there's work to do.

Haggerty has been back in the gym and is already working towards his next fight.

'The General' knows where he went wrong at ONE 168, but the past is the past and it's time for him to move on to the next chapter of his career.
