Superlek Kiatmoo9 may enter unchartered territory in his next match, but Filipino star Stephen Loman believes a new weight class won't be a problem.
The reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion will bump up in weight and challenge two-sport king Jonathan Haggerty for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title in the main event of ONE 168: Denver.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Loman said Superlek won't have to cut that much weight ahead of his super fight against Haggerty at Ball Arena on September 6.
The number two-ranked bantamweight MMA contender even theorized that Superlek's walking weight is closer to the division's 145-pound limit than flyweight's 135.

Loman said:
"I think Superlek already walks at a heavier weight than the flyweight limit. He's also a tall fighter, so when he gains weight it won't be a problem for him."
Superlek, who stands 5-foot-7, fought primarily at flyweight in ONE Championship, and his world title challenge against Haggerty will be the first time he fights in the 145-pound division.
While his performance at bantamweight remains to be seen, Superlek's form has been nothing short of exceptional.
Superlek is an impressive 14-1 in ONE Championship, and the Thai superstar is on a dominant 10-fight winning streak.
Through the course of that unbeaten run, 'The Kicking Machine' defeated the likes of ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, three-division K-1 champion Takeru Segawa, Daniel Puertas, and Tagir Khalilov.
Haggerty, meanwhile, is on a streak of six straight wins and is also in possession of the ONE bantamweight kickboxing world title.

Stephen Loman hyped for impending super fight between Superlek and Jonathan Haggerty
He may be a professional fighter by trade, but Stephen Loman remains a fan at heart.
The Filipino star said in the same Sportskeeda interview that he's excited to watch Superlek throw it down with Jonathan Haggerty in Denver.
"Both are amazing fighters, let's see what will happen. Let's just wait and just watch this fight if there will be any surprises."
