Itsuki Hirata and Ham Seo Hee celebrate making weight and hydration

Itsuki Hirata and Ham Seo Hee met for a friendly encounter after the ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video weigh-ins.

Hirata and Ham were scheduled to fight in November 2022. Unfortunately, ‘Android 18’ missed weight and failed the hydration testing, leading to their bout being postponed. All eyes were on the Japanese-born fighter for her latest weigh-in, and she didn’t disappoint.

Hirata made weight and passed the hydration test, solidifying her fight against Ham for ONE Fight Night 8. ONE Championship posted the video of them embracing each other with the caption saying:

“Good to go 😎 Itsuki Hirata makes weight and hydration for her massive showdown with Ham Seo Hee! Tune in to watch their atomweight MMA battle on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video! Who you got? @_itsuki_h_ @ham.zzang”

In the video, Ham was visibly happy that her upcoming fight was confirmed. She had this to say to Hirata:

“Thank you very much”

‘Android 18’ is coming off a unanimous decision win against Lin Heqin in August 2022. Meanwhile, Hirata’s last fight was her second consecutive win against Denice Zamboanga. The elite atomweight fighters will now meet in the circle, hoping to secure a title shot.

Itsuki Hirata plans to make everyone happy at ONE Fight Night 8

Itsuki Hirata had to overcome some backlash after missing weight in November. Now that she’s locked in against Ham Seo Hee, ‘Android 18’ plans to put on a show for the fans. During an interview with SCMP MMA, the 23-year-old phenom had this to say about her upcoming fight at ONE Fight Night 8:

“I’m very happy that I can fight and that I got the fight with her, that’s it. I want to bring a great fight in the morning in Asia. I want everyone to be happy and I want to be happy as well. I want to share good feelings with everyone.”

Ham vs. Hirata joins a solid fight card that features two world championship fights - Superlek Kiatmoo9 vs. Danial Williams for the flyweight kickboxing title and Allycia Hellen Rodrigues vs. Janet Todd for the undisputed atomweight Muay Thai title.
