Itsuki Hirata finds inspiration in positive messages from fans.
There have been plenty of stories about MMA fighters receiving threatening messages before and after a fight, especially from those influenced by gambling. With that said, not all fans are looking for trouble.
Hirata is looking to build momentum with a win against Ham Seo Hee at ONE Championship 163. During an interview with MMA Sucka, ‘Android 18’ had this to say about being appreciative of positive messages from fans before a fight:
“I still haven’t done many things to make people inspired, but I always appreciate a cheerful message from the fans who are very encouraging me before the fight. It means a lot.”

After starting her MMA career 5-0, Hirata was forced to withdraw from the ONE Women's Atomweight World Grand Prix due to illness, missing out on a massive opportunity. She then lost her first MMA fight by a split decision against Jihin Radzuan before bouncing back five months later with a win.

ONE Championship lightweight MMA world champion Christian Lee predicts Itsuki Hirata vs. Ham Seo Hee
Itsuki Hirata is looking to end the calendar year with a statement victory against her most formidable opponent yet. Ham Seo Hee has 33 professional MMA fights with a 2-0 record in ONE Championship. While speaking with ONE, lightweight world champion Christian Lee had this to say about Hirata’s next fight:
"Yeah, I mean, I think that's a striker versus grappler matchup. I think it just depends on who's able to get into their game, whether it be whoever gets the takedown first. If Hirata gets a takedown, I think she's going to submit her. If it stays on the feet, I think that Ham is going to probably keep it striking and win the decision."
Lee is headlining ONE on Prime Video 4, which is the day before Hirata fights at ONE 163. The lightweight world champion is hunting for a second world title against Kiamrian Abbasov, the current welterweight king. The event will be broadcast live and for free on Prime Video for all Amazon subscribers across North America.
Meanwhile, ‘Android 18’ has a lot to prove at ONE 163. With a win against the number two-ranked atomweight, the 23-year-old Japanese warrior will insert herself into the world title shot discussion.
