At ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, Itsuki Hirata feels like she has a huge point to prove.
Live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium, ‘Android 18’ will face the biggest fight and test of her career to date when she takes on Ham Seo Hee.
With the division’s most exciting prospect taking on atomweight’s most experienced veteran, this match-up has huge stakes behind it.
After suffering the first loss of her pro career at ONE X last year, dropping a split decision to Jihin Radzuan, Hirata rebounded last time out with a win over Lin Heqin to get her back on the right path.

With the winner of this highly anticipated clash potentially securing a shot at Angela Lee’s atomweight world championship, Hirata is determined to go out there and do whatever it takes to get her hand raised on fight night.
In an interview with ONE Championship, the rising Japanese contender said:
“I will fight for five minutes and three rounds, and I’ll keep attacking until the very end no matter what the situation is.”
Things have become more personal between the two competitors due to their initial fight being canceled and postponed after Itsuki Hirata missed weight ahead of ONE 163.
Itsuki Hirata regrets not making weight for first fight with Ham Seo Hee
Before she gets to make a statement inside the circle on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8, Itsuki Hirata has a point to prove on the scales.
At ONE 163 in November, Hirata was scheduled to take on Ham Seo Hee in a huge fight for the atomweight division.
The fight was called off at late notice after Hirata failed to make weight and pass her hydration test. Whilst the fight was offered to her opponent at a catchweight limit, Ham Seo Hee declined it due to her opponent’s previous struggles with making the atomweight limit.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship ahead of the rescheduled contest between the top contenders, Itsuki Hirata reflected on her mistakes:
"If you ask me what happened, I think it's the same thing that everyone knows. Not being able to have the fight that everyone was looking forward to was the most regrettable thing. As for Ham Seo Hee declining to accept a catchweight fight, I didn't particularly have any thoughts about it."
ONE Fight Night 8 is live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on March 24. The entire event will air live and for free via Prime Video for North American viewers.
