Jack Catterall and Regin Prograis finally settled the score, competing in an entertaining super lightweight clash on Oct. 26. After their initial clash was rescheduled due to an injury, they headlined a card at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
Both fighters came into the bout looking to insert their name in the title conversations. Catterall had more to gain as a win over a former champion would expedite those conversations, while Prograis looked to prove he still belongs in the mix following his title loss to Devin Haney last December.
The main event was a tale of two bouts as both competitors were even to begin the fight. Catterall and Prograis had their moments in the third and fourth rounds, but the American had the momentum in the fifth round after securing a knockdown.
Despite the knockdown, the Englishman regrouped and looked dominant for the remainder of the fight. Catterall earned two knockdowns in the ninth round and followed that up by pushing the pace and leaving Prograis unable to answer.

Prograis' ankle appeared to bother him later in the fight, noticeably affecting his movement. Meanwhile, Catterall continued to pour on the strikes in the final round as the bell sounded to end the fight.
The judges scored the bout 117-108, 116-109, and 116-109 in favor of Catterall, who earned a massive win, possibly securing him a title shot.
