Jackie Buntan believes her ONE Fight Night 10 opponent Diandra Martin is like no other fighter she’s faced before.
On May 5, the American Muay Thai standout will make her return to the circle on one of the biggest nights in ONE Championship history. The promotion will make its long-awaited U.S. debut, invading the 1stBank Center in Colorado with its biggest stars in tow. That includes Buntan, who will square off against Australian striker Diandra Martin in the art of eight limbs.
Speaking with Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview, Jackie Buntan shared her thoughts on Martin’s skill set and what she expects from the Aussie:
“I think Diandra’s a good fighter, she’s a solid fighter," Buntan said. “Every athlete is always different. She’s not similar, stylistically she’s not very similar to Amber [Kitchen] or Smilla [Sundell]. She’s kind of in her own realm. She’s a good fighter. I think she’s coming ready to bring the fight to me honestly.”

Entering the promotion in 2021, Jackie Buntan scored three straight victories over notable talents Nat ‘Wondergirl’ Jaroonsak, Ekaterina Vandaryeva, and Daniela Lopez.
She suffered her first setback against teenage Muay Thai prodigy Smilla Sundell last April, failing to capture the ONE strawweight Muay Thai world title. Buntan bounced back, scoring a win over Amber Kitchen to close out her 2022. With a win over Martin, Buntan hopes to secure herself another shot at Sundell’s ONE world title.
Diandra Martin most certainly has something to say about that as she looks for her second victory under the ONE Championship banner following her own unanimous decision victory over Amber Kitchen in August.
