Jackie Buntan wants to show fans in North America what Muay Thai is all about.
The Boxing Works product will have the opportunity to do just that on May 5 when she heads to the 1stBank Center in Colorado to take part in ONE Championship’s massive U.S. debut.
ONE Fight Night 10 will feature the biggest names in all of combat sports, headlined by a massive ONE flyweight world title trilogy bout between reigning champion Demetrious Johnson and eight-time titleholder Adriano Moraes.
Before Johnson and Moraes handle their business for the third and final time, Jackie Buntan will look to earn her 25th career victory against Australian striker Diandra Martin. Ahead of her return to the Circle, Buntan sat down with ONE Championship to discuss her mindset going into her first fight of 2023.

“I feel like I have to go hard,” Buntan said. “I have to put on a performance to make the fans and people who don’t know about Muay Thai excited to watch me again, watch Muay Thai again, and tune in to ONE Championship again. All of that is a win for everyone.”
Both women will be looking to make it two in a row after scoring similar unanimous decision wins over Amber Kitchen in their last outings.
Jackie Buntan hopes to secure another shot at teen Muay Thai prodigy Smilla Sundell
Jackie Buntan has a very impressive record under the ONE Championship banner, having beaten some of the best women in the world, including Nat ‘Wondergirl’ Jaroonsak, Ekaterina Vandaryeva, and Daniela Lopez. However, Buntan has one blemish on her record and it came against 18-year-old striking sensation Smilla Sundell.
Dropping a unanimous decision against ‘The Hurricane’ at ONE 156 last year, Buntan hopes to inch herself closer to another opportunity at dethroning the reigning ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion.
“I mean it depends on how many fights they want to give me before I’m able to get that rematch, but I want that rematch. It’s not like a one-and-done type of thing for me,” Buntan said.
Jackie Buntan realizes that there are a lot of things that go into consideration for a ONE world title opportunity, but she is more than ready to prove herself worthy of a rematch against anyone the promotion throws at her.
“I still believe I’m one of the top contenders in this division, so it just kind of depends on whoever they want to give and whoever they sign really.”
