Having made her ONE Championship debut in February of 2021, ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jackie Buntan is a veteran of the promotion at this stage.
The Filipino-American striker has been there and seen it all under the ONE banner with incredible success, electric fights and setbacks that have made her better.
However, there are some things that don't just disappear with repetition and that's something that Buntan has had to get used to in the fight game.
In a recent interview with The Casuals, she spoke about her pre-fight nerves and how there isn't a way to completely get rid of them.

Buntan's experience does help her to calm them down and ride out the storm because she believes in her skills and preparation.
Jackie Buntan no longer lets the moment overcome her because she has been in this exact position before. She shared:
"I was nervous, I mean, even up until now, I still get nervous. But you go in waves of it on how to deal with it."

Jackie Buntan rose to the occasion last time out
If she was feeling the weight and pressure of the moment in her last fight, Jackie Buntan didn't show it.
At ONE 169, she faced arguably the toughest test of her career to date in her kickboxing debut.
The Muay Thai specialist made the transition over to a new ruleset in order to face off with multi-time world champion Anissa Meksen for the inaugural ONE strawweight kickboxing world championship.
In a fantastic clash of styles, Buntan emerged victorious after beating Meksen via the scorecards to lift ONE gold for the first time in her career.
The 27-year-old competitor is still getting better and we saw that first hand at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on Nov. 8.
Fight fans are now eagerly awaiting her next move off the back of the best night of her career so far.
